How to Use SMTP to Send Emails From WordPress

Posted On: April 10, 2023
WordPress has a native way of sending emails. It uses the PHP mail() function to deliver all those newsletters, password resets, or any other type of email you’re sending to your audience. can my furnace explode?

can my furnace explode?

Posted On: April 9, 2023
Furnaces are found in more homes than any other type of central heating system. Ironically, they’re also not well understood by the average homeowner, and that’s probably because they are so common; they’re easy to take for granted. You don’t need to be a furnace expert to have a good working furnace, that’s why you have professionals help with any furnace service or other heater repair In fact, only professionals with licenses to work on gas-powered heaters should ever handle service on a furnace. But extra knowledge is always helpfu . . . [More]

how to make my air handler quieter

how to make my air handler quieter

Posted On: April 9, 2023
I have a Bosch ISD 2.0 BOVA-36HDN1-M20G with a BVA-24WN1-M20. 24kBTU, Air Handler Unit 2.0 unit. It was installed in my attic (no basement) and the problem is the sound. Every time the machine ramps up and down the air handler vibrates through the floor and ducts. The noise makes it very uncomfortable in the house and hard to sleep at night. I had my Bosch tech install vibration pads under the unit but that did not fix anything. I saw someone on the forums mention adding a lineset silencer to the unit? Is there a simple solution or maybe a sett . . . [More]

what is this weird filter at the back of my furnace air return

what is this weird filter at the back of my furnace air return

Posted On: April 8, 2023
Does anyone know what this filter is supposed to do in my air return? It is old and has shiny fiberglass looking fibers and based on how old the furnace was when we replaced it, I'd guess it was from the 90s. It's nasty and probably not doing much but not sure what the purpose is. Is it safe to remove? The first photo is where it is located and has a blue circle to show where it is and the red line shows how the filter is located within that duct. The two other photos just show what it looks like. Thanks!. Question from user passingby at hvacad . . . [More]

heating question from an enduser

Question from an End-User. Good evening everyone! I'm hoping some Good Samaritan will take the time to help out with this if they have any thoughts. A little backstory. I pay significantly below market value in rent for my new-construction two-bedroom apartment. The property manager is absolutely terrible but the cost more than makes up for it. However, I generally try and handle any small maintenance issues by myself (either DIY or bring in a handyman) to avoid having to get the PM involved. This may sound crazy to some of you but I'm very hap . . . [More]
